Shristi uses the principles of the environment, such as humidity, and how they affect the pigment’s reaction and spread across the canvas. She experiments with the properties of volume and fluidity of the acrylic pigment as well as the shapes that form naturally around the canvas’s centre of gravity.
She exhorts the viewer to approach narrative-free paintings. The use of warm and cool tones creates contrast and urges the viewer to experience the colours and their luminosity.
